*Eric Benet and his fiancé Manuela Testolini quietly jumped the broom over the weekend.
Access Hollywood host Shaun Robinson broke the news via Twitpic – posting a photo of herself posing with the happy couple after the ceremony. Benet, himself, tweeted later, “This is one perfect day!”
Benet and Testolini have previously been married; Benet to Halle Berry and Testolini to Prince.
Benet made no mention of the impending nuptials when he spoke exclusively to EURweb just days before about his forthcoming GMC film “Trinity Goodheart” at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills.
The film, premiering Aug. 20 at 9 p.m., follows a 12-year-old girl, played by Erica Gluck, as she sets out to reunite her disjointed family, which includes her dad Jeremy, played by Benet.
Benet did discuss how much his role parallels his own life.
“My daughter is 19 now and I’ve been a single father most of her life. You know, the atypical, bohemian kind of way of parenting – all that stuff was there. Trying to figure out, maneuver through life as a parent, as a male with a daughter, and what’s the best parental decision at this point. I mean, it was just my life all over the place.
“And then, when I got to the set and I met this incredible young lady [Gluck], it was like I was back in time; I was with my 12 year old daughter at the time. And she’s such an incredible actress, and our chemistry was so well that it was just an incredibly enjoyable experience all around.”
In the bonus audio below, Benet reveals what little experience he does have in acting [a bit role in Mariah Carey’s “Glitter”] and how he went about preparing for this role.
