Drug Overdose May Explain Florida Preacher (Zachery Tims’) Death

*Yesterday we reported that Pastor Zachery Tims was found dead in his room the W Hotel in Times Square and police are suspecting a drug overdose.

According to updated reports, a small glassine envelope containing a white powder was found in his pocket. The substance is being tested, but there are suspicions it may be cocaine or heroin. The autopsy conducted on the Florida pastor was inconclusive.

The New Destiny Christian Center preacher was found dead on Friday evening when hotel workers broke into the room, breaking the door’s security bar. He was found on the floor face up with all valuables in tact.

Tims’ personal life had not been in order for some time. He and his now ex-wife, Riva Tims, founded the church in 1996. But the couple divorced two years ago, after he admitted having an affair with a stripper.
