*The next season of VH1’s “Single Ladies” is already moving forward, says LisaRaye McCoy. She recently shared with the crew on “The Rickey Smiley Morning Show” that she and others have signed contracts for the next season, although the network hasn’t confirmed.
“We all signed contracts,” LisaRaye told Rickey and his crew this morning, noting that she can only talk about her status on the show and not Stacey Dash. “I don’t know what’s going on with her and the producers. That’s them; I’m going to secure my job.” She added, “Whoever they have coming back, I know I’m still working.”
And as far as an altercation with Dash, LisaRaye explained that.
“We were on the set, and tempers was flaring because we had been filming 15 hours a day,” LisaRaye said. “The particular night … there was a scene that we were doing, and she didn’t want to stay on the set for my line.”
Remembering the event, LisaRaye said her co-star kept leaving the set, disregarding the director’s requests, which lead to arguments.
In an attempt to cool things down, the actress went over to Stacey and reminded her to stay in character.
“I just walked over and said, ‘Stacey, just do what the director tells you to do,'” LisaRaye said. Apparently, Stacey brushed off the words and put her hand in her co-star’s face. That didn’t go over well with LisaRaye. “I said if you don’t get your hand out of my [bleep] face…”
But the story ended there, according to the actress. And as far as their relationship goes, despite their occasional flare ups, the two get along pretty well and stay out of each other’s way.
