*Former Super Bowl star, Plaxico Burress is out of jail and signed on with the New York Jets.

The football player was released from prison after serving 20 months on a gun charge stemming from an attempting criminal weapons possession. But he’s coming out on top with a one-year deal with the Jets.

Excited about the new move, the athlete wrote on his Twitter page: “East Coast here I come!”

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez retweeted his new receiver and added: “Paperwork in hand??? Haha welcome to the squad.”

In the past, he mentioned he had interest in other teams like the San Francisco 49ers.

With the addition of Burress, who’ll be 34 on Aug. 12, it looks like this means Braylon Edwards, who is a free agent, will not be back for the new season.
