Tonex in now 'Diesel'
*Tonex has transformed.
From his life as a minister and ex-fornicator/who else knows what, back to an even more flamboyant sort. His new hobby is a pop/soul recording activist with the new name “Diesel.”
He was a Gospel guy, giving the Christian community what they wanted, but he just couldn’t resist his calling. In 2009 he came out as an openly gay Gospel artist and he believes he was born that way.
In an interview with Essence magazine, he shared his controversial thoughts about sexuality.
“Is your gospel career a thing of the past?”
When it comes to the genre, yes. Unfortunately I was pigeonholed into that genre even though I felt that gospel music could very much so cross over to mainstream. Formidably and exclusively, yeah that part is over. There will always be a spiritual core to what I do and you will still feel that light and that love in my pop and soul music.

C’mon Eurweb, let’s continue to be accurate in your reporting. First off, the name of the next album is “Diesel.” Tonex now goes by Bslade. And to correct you again, B is not a “Gay Activist,” he is a Pop Artists who is an activist for those less fortunate. As the actual article clearly states, he represents that section of our society who are considered “Black Sheep.” That is not solely inclusive of sexual preferences. C’mon black folks, let’s evolve a bit!

And is it really this surprising to us that folks from the church also struggle with homosexuality? Just saw a special last week on Billy Preston on TV1! He made statements in the 70′s referencing homosexuality in our churches, specifically our choirs way back then! We can’t DEAL with the issues unless we address them!

“This path will lead you to hell” – Have you really read every word of the Bible? If so, you would see yourself in there, as we all are. No sin is above another in God’s eyes remember! Adulterers, fornicators, lushes. WE ALL FALL SHORT IN GOD’S eyes. Christians must be careful in pointing that anointed finger. At the end of the day, the Bible says to Love your Brother and Sister. The Bible charges us to “come as we are.” We as Christians seem to think that by having a conversation with a sinner, is accepting that sin. NOT TRUE. We are called to accept people as they are and have FAITH in God to correct there ways.

1st. Sin is Sin I agree with you on that, however you have sin and you have abominations.
You have an act of sin and then you have sinful living. The act of sin would be a lie stealing etc… However practicing sleeping with men is an abomination. Must I also remind you that there are many levels in hell each dedicated to different types of sins? But I am sure you didn’t know that.

I am not like these fake preachers telling you what makes the offering basket grow, I have seen things to make an atheist a believer, so I what I tell you is true, God hates homosexulity and greater judgement falls upon those who were part of the church and turned away, not to mention leading others into his lifestyle.

I didn’t say I hate or dislike Tonex, I even met the man, he prayed for me in Mammaroneck NY at Strait Gate church some years ago. He is a very likeable guy, but that doesn’t mean he is going to heaven, God has made it clear what will not be tolerated so it’s not out of hate, but out of concern for my brothers and sisters I tell them God hates the act of homosexuality.
