*Veteran reggae star Denroy Morgan, best known for his 1981 hit “I’ll Do Anything For You,” [scroll down to listen] has been arrested for allegedly possessing 25 pounds of marijuana.
Cops detained the 66-year-old singer in New York after he was seen leaving a property in the Bronx on Wednesday (Sept. 14) while carrying a shrink-wrapped package. Officers stopped his car and arrested him after noticing an overwhelming smell of weed in the vehicle, according to the New York Daily News.
The cops allegedly discovered two large bags containing 25 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of his car.
Morgan, who lives in Springfield, Massachusetts, has been charged with possessing drugs, running a stop sign, and driving without a seat belt.
