Quran 'Storm' Pender and Wendy Williams in a scene from 'The Cookout 2'

*NEW YORK – As summer draws to a close, BET lights up the grill for the premiere of a new original movie, THE COOKOUT 2, on Saturday, September 3 at 9pm E/P

In this sequel to the 2004 box office hit “The Cookout,” suspended pro-basketball player star Todd Anderson (played by Quran “Storm” Pender) plays the game of his life to rescue his family.

When he appears on “The Wendy Williams Show” to set the record straight about being wrongly kicked out of the league, Todd gets the shock of his life when Wendy bombards him with stories of outrageous baby mama drama, fabricated scandals and crazed fans.

To clear his “good name,” Todd recounts the shocking tale of how he and his family were kidnapped and blackmailed by Bling Bling’s (played by Ja Rule) nutty brother, Coach Ashmokeem (played by Charlie Murphy).

THE COOKOUT 2 also features Vivica A. Fox, Mike Tyson, Rita Owens, Big Boi, Ja Rule, Jay Pharoah, Freeze Love, De’Nee Busby, Wendy Williams, Faizon Love, Jalen Rose, Frankie Faison and Michael K. Williams. Don’t miss this BET premiere, airing Saturday, September 3 at 9pm E/P (encore at 1am E/P).

THE COOKOUT 2 is produced by Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere’s Flavor Unit Entertainment.
