*Christina Milian is mulling legal action after allegedly finding gum in her food at a restaurant in Los Angeles last week.
The singer-actress was reportedly horrified after reportedly spitting out a wad of chewed gum she alleges was in the salad she ordered at an eatery in Studio City, according to TMZ.
She subsequently filed a complaint with officials at the Los Angeles Department of Health and is seeking legal representation.
She tells TMZ.com that she was traumatized by the incident, saying, “The most important thing to me is to make sure my health is OK. Ever since the incident I have not eaten out.”
I can understand Christina being upset by finding the gum in her sald I would be too BUT!!! Traumatized???? Really?? Christina???? being a bit OVERDRAMATIC!! aren’t we??? I do not think it constitutes a lawsuit, itf there were something more hazardous in the salad yes, but an apology should suffice.
The thing about L.A. is that a lot of Latinos (mostly those from Mexico and further south like Ecuador and Central America) who are not schooled on American hygiene practices take these jobs. Though it does not apply to all of Latino/Hispanic descent, I’ve seen some pretty foul things done.
There was a once-popular frozen yogurt chain called Penguins back in the 80s. At the time, they were mostly in White areas and the people serving you were mostly white. When some of the immigrants began traveling to the Westside and similar areas, they began working here. One day, I got some yogurt and there was spillage outside the container. Though I don’t like when they use that counter rag that looks like it hasn’t seen soap in a min., I would have that have seen used instead of Lupe licking the excess with her tongue. Penguins is still around but most have closed and TV commercials are even rare.
Thank good some have been taught or willing to learn.
Another experience I’ve had from being an Angeleno is witnessing staff being intentionally rude to celebrities. It is silly and immature though there are some lesser-talented (or fly-by-night) folks that are arrogant to staff when they enter an establishment. Going for someone’s food is gutter and felony charges should apply since viruses live in moisture.
She may have eaten a good portion of the salad and think the server spit and dropped the gum in deliberately. Folks are doing some nasty things to prepared food…like masturbating etc.
