*TNT has given a script order to five new projects – one of them, a drama co-written by Forest Whitaker.
Titled “H.I.K.E.,” the story follows a female police officer who runs the Home Invasion Kidnapping Enforcement team in Phoenix, Ariz., the kidnapping capital of the U.S.
Also receiving script orders from the cable network Wednesday:
• The Order, based on the Israeli series about an archaeologist professor who participates in digs around Israel that explore questions surrounding faith and meaning. Joel Fields is attached to write the project from DreamWorks TV.
• Perfect Set, co-written by Nina Colman and Steven Pearl, the project revolves around a brother and sister who solve crimes and is being dubbed a present-day Hart to Hart.
• Rush, a hospital drama about life in the ER from Sony Pictures TV and Jamie Tarses, Kevin Falls and writer Allan McDonald.
• Island Time, which revolves around a woman who abandons her corporate life and reinvents herself after winning a Pacific island bar. Joe Field and Josh Brand are attached to pen the project.
On the reality front, Fortune Hunters, from Survivor producer Burnett, would follow contestants as they hunt for treasure. Burnett is attached to executive produce.
TNT’s drama schedule is currently populated by such hits as the recently renewed “Rizzoli & Isles,” “The Closer” – which is currently airing its final season — and newer entry “Falling Skies,” which recently picked up a second season.
