*Last week at t Lord & Taylor’s “Fashion’s Night Out” in NYC, Solange Knowles was there enjoying the festivities when “Today” show co-host Hoda Kotb tried to ask the singer/dj about her sister’s pregnancy.
Before anything could come out of her mouth, Solange’s publicist, Charles Wade, bombarded the conversation with, “What do you want to talk to [her] about? She won’t answer questions about Beyoncé.” Kotb calmly replied she just wanted to say hi and ask her about the event.
However, another source says Kotb told the publicist, “No, thanks.” And made way to speak with Ivanka Trump.
However, a rep for Kotb, who interviewed designers Kay Unger and Nanette Lepore instead, said, “Any member of the Knowles family is welcome on the ‘Today” show.
Wade called the New York Post story “absolutely false” and added, “Hoda was simply informed that she didn’t want to speak about this issue, because it is indeed a very personal one, and Solange resumed her meet-and-greet with her supporters and continued having a great ‘Fashion’s Night Out.’”

Solange’s publicist did exactly what he’s paid to do and acted correctly. Hoda is not known outside of Today show audiences, is a journalist, is probably not known to Solange and most likely did want to ask Solange about her sister. Oh, she would have started with small talk about the event and maybe what Solange is up to but, we all know she would have went there at some point. Just mad that she got cut off at the pass.
