According to reports, he signed a deal with publisher Simon & Schuster to release a book titled “It Ain’t Hard to Tell,” named after a song from his debut 1994 debut “Illmatic.”
The news broke Monday when Touré tweeted on Monday:
“I’ve been talking to Nas about writing his autobiography for 16 years … we’ll tell his life and deconstruct some songs.”
The book will also explore the long misunderstood feud between Jay-Z and the Queen’s native, as well as his marriage with Kelis, his mother’s battle with cancer and his relationship with the mother of his first child.
“A memoir is about a certain period in your life. An autobiography is about your whole life,” Touré tweeted. “Writing a book & a rhyme are different but still it’ll be Nas’ story & his voice. His great writing ability will be clear.”
