*Samuel L. Jackson has joined the cast of the Jamie Foxx vehicle “Django Unchained,” which reteams him for a fifth time with director Quentin Tarantino.

In the film, described as a violent spaghetti western, Foxx plays a freed slave out for revenge against evil plantation owner Calvin Candie, played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Assisted by a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) who frees him from Candie, Django is now on a mission to free his wife from the ruthless plantation owner.

Jackson will play Candie’s house slave Stephen, described by Variety as the plantation owner’s “right-hand man.” Gerald McRaney has also joins the film in an unspecified role. As previously reported, Kevin Costner stars as Candie’s top henchman.

Jackson and Tarantino first worked together in “Pulp Fiction,” followed by “Jackie Brown,” “Kill Bill Vol. 2” and “Inglourious Basterds” in 2009.
