Samantha Stosur (pictured below), a 27-year-old Australian, won her first Grand Slam title with 6-2, 6-3 victory over Williams, who lost her cool again and yelled at the chair umpire, a scene reminiscent but less ugly than her 2009 tirade in New York.

Williams had a contentious discussion with chair umpire Eva Asderaki of Greece that included this retort:

“If you ever see me walking down the hall, look the other way.”
