Video: Herman Cain Addresses Morgan Freeman’s ‘Tea Party’ Dis

*It didn’t take long for GOP Candidate Herman Cain to be asked about disparaging Tea Party comments made by veteran film star Morgan Freeman.

As previously reported, the Academy Award-winning actor called the efforts of the ultra-conservative group “a racist thing” during an interview last week on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight.”

“Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term,” Freeman told Morgan. “What underlines that? ‘Screw the country. We’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.’”

The “Dolphin Tale” star went on to say the party’s agenda “just shows the weak, dark, underside of America.”

“We’re supposed to be better than that,” Freeman continued. “We really are. That’s, that’s why all those people were in tears when Obama was elected president. ‘Ah, look at what we are. Look at how, this is America.’ You know? And then it just sort of started turning because these people surfaced like stirring up muddy water.”

Cain made an appearance on Fox’s Your World with Neil Cavuto, where he addressed Freeman’s remarks.

“Well, first of all, I doubt if Morgan Freeman, with all due respect, who is a great actor, has ever been to a Tea Party,” Cain said. “Most of the people that are criticizing the Tea Parties…about having a racist element, they have never been to a Tea Party.”

When Cavuto attempted to make a joke about Freeman having presidential experience (starring as the commander in chief in “Deep Impact”), Cain said, “In a movie! This is real life out here on the campaign journey, man. This is not a movie.”

Cain, whose campaign is riding high after winning the Florida straw poll, was quick to say that he was not offended by the actor’s remarks.

“I just think that it is sad that they’re so short-sighted in really understanding what the whole Tea Party citizen movement is all about,” he continued. “I’m not offended by it, because it doesn’t slow down my momentum. It doesn’t slow down the reaction that I get from people.

“So, name-calling is something that’s going to continue in this, because they don’t know how to stop this movement. And this movement is making a big difference in politics, because a lot of the traditional Democrats are moving to the center or moving over to vote for conservatives. They’re taking another look at a Herman Cain.”

  1. Regardless of how his campaign’s momentum is growing, I doubt if Mr Cain will get anywhere near the republican nomination. One little straw poll win is just that a smal victory. There are a lot of people in htis country who did not want a black man as president in the first place and have no intention of electing another black man regardless if he is a tea partyer/ republican..

  2. I agree with Mr Freeman the teaparty has soem dark/racists undertones to their agenda of which I do not care for.

  3. ok, im sick of stepin fetchit here. they keep acting as though he is this brilliant business minded dude, fact is, yes, he turned around a fledgling, cast off pizza franchise. big deal. he was ceo, so fuccn what. he didn’t found it, it was founded by William Theisen, the chain has only 622 locations in 39 U.S. states. dominoes has over 9,000 corporate and franchised stores in 60 countries, there are more than 6,000 Pizza Hut restaurants in the United States, and more than 5,600 store locations in 94 other countries and territories around the world.

seems to me that the smarter the two businessmen is theisen , he sold this piece of junk to Pillsbury and went on to bigger things like; —-William “Willy” Theisen, the retired founder of Godfather’s Pizza, currently owns and operates four Famous Dave’s restaurants in the Omaha, Nebraska area and one location in Kansas City, Kansas. Barbecue Ventures of Nebraska, LLC, is headquartered in Omaha, NE.

famous daves is now all over the dayum place. seems to me theisen should be running for president since Cain seems to only be good for is eating other peoples scraps.

    • Marginalize a black man’s ‘business acumen as “insufficient” solely because you don’t agree with his policies/ideology?

And you’re eur’s own resident “black” spokesperson?

So what he was a CEO?
So what he has 622 locations because Domino’s has over 9000?

While I’m well-accustomed to these rather vacuous charges against anyone who isn’t Obama, I am shocked that you would marginalize a successful black businessman by comparing it to the two lone “giants” in his industry.

Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised. If it walks and talks like a duck, it’s likely a damn human fool neway.

      • 1) i didnt need to marginalize him. he is already marginal.
        2) he aint black
        3) fuc you azz for brains

      • “…. I am shocked that you would marginalize a successful black businessman by comparing it to the two lone “giants” in his industry.”

p.s. as a c.e.o., if u aint growing company and increasing the eps, you just treading water. move out the way and let someone else grow the company. yes, there are two giants out there. so what. if u cant compete with the big boyz get the he11 out the game. simple as that. nucca aint gettin no pass cause he’s managing a small time rag tag operation.

  4. clarify; not to be confused with Famous Daves founded by Dave Anderson, two totally different franchises but i think my point is made.

    • No your point is not made. Not sure what makes you think Cain’s resume is inferior to the resumes of the White folks on the debate stage with him…or inferior to a Senator who had only served for 2 years, never led anything, etc. By most objective measures, Cain is a successful businessman. If you don’t agree with him on the merit of his political positions, that’s one thing, but to degrade or minimize his accomplishments is just plain weird…desperate…[insert synonym for "pathetic" here]

      • no need for me to “degrade or minimize his accomplishments”.
he is already degrading and minimal.
        and, fuc u too.

        • lol

          • TGEN, if you needed any other example of the utter loonacy of this fool, look no further than his degradation of a successful black businessman.

IMO, there is absolutely nothing he can say at this point about any black person (not fully supportive of his messiah) who dares to question the status quo. Not when you can play into white democratic talking points and use that against another black man.

          • I know! The curious thing is he is continuing with his nonsensical rants. He doesn’t even seem to see what we’re saying.

  5. LOL Neil Cavuto sounds like Marvin the Martian from Bugs Bunny, ol’ schoolers y’all know who I’m talking about. I didn’t hear a peep out of the tea party during the Bush admin. Morgan Freeman, he’s only telling it like it is.

  6. DiamondChocolate says:

Phuck the Tea Baggers…Phuck Herman Caine and all those who support them and their RACIST, back to “Jim Crow”mentality!! And I’m in total agreement with the person who proposed the concept early on…”What If the Tea Party was Black?”…I can promise you this would be an entirely different scenario…”They would have called out the National Guards on their azzes by now!! So again, let me reiterate MY POINT…PHUCK EM!!

  7. ignorant azz hermain cain, it aint like he’s no bob johnson (albeit some of the foolishness he did i didnt care for but dayum. what a mogul) he aint no steve jobs, he aint no bill gates. he just a dumb azz nucca dancing the fucn hucklebuck for the white man till they can get what they hope to be a viable candidate to compete with President Obama. and when they find one, he/she will still get their azzes handed to them. dumb fucn herman cain, singing fucn negro spirituals for the white man….”swwwinnnng lowww sweet chariott….comming for to carry me hommmmmme”….yep, to carry yo dumb azz home.

  8. …and when the chariots carry hermain cains dumb azz back home, i hope the make to two stops along the way. one to pick up the trifling TGenerate, and that stupid bitchhboy Musbwhiteytoberightey.

  9. Musbwhitetoberightey….maybe u didnt hear me the first two times HERMAIN CAIN AINT BLACK FOOL! did you hear me that time.

    • I heard and ignored it the first time.

Herman Cain has been “blacker” longer than our current president. Herman Cain has never shied away from being black.

the question you should ask yourself is how is that a Herman Cain can be a more agressive “black man” than our current president.

I thought me schooling you some time ago would cause u you think about the foolishness you get urself into. But I was wrong. You are as ignorant today as you were then.

And looka you talking about I musbwhite. Nigga please! You the dumb as “black man” choosing to lock and unload on another “black man” comparing his success as a businessman to his white counterparts.

      You really mushavesuperiorgagreflect.

      Denny Crain

      • “I thought me schooling you”..u? skooling me? huh…have u taken leave of your sense dumbo?

“Following a number of such comments, he was asked in March 2011 if he would feel comfortable appointing a Muslim to his administration or as a Judge. Cain said “No, I will not … There’s this creeping attempt, there’s this attempt, to gradually ease Shariah Law, and the Muslim faith into our government.”

what a nitwit this cain clown.

        • Yes, that was dumb. BUT WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH HIS BUSINESS ACUMEN? Do you not see how you are talking about apples and oranges?

          • Uhm..no he doesn’t!

          • not sure why im engaging u cause youre a clown but that notwithstanding, personally im not impressed with he “business acumen” if you wish to call it that. what he did has not added any true intrinsic value to the world but to create a bunch of lard azzes. its pizza, so what. and he has not done pizza on such a grand scale that it makes one say “wow! that hermain cain really is special, he created GREAT pizza”. its a pizza business, the business of pizza, we talkn bout pizza, not a ipad, not a television network, we talking bout pizza.

if he had done something special then we would have something to discuss, but we talking about pizza. the business of pizza.

get it tgenerate. i cant be clearer. the business of pizza does not impress me. may as well have been hot dogs and fuccn hamburgers. and even that would have been impressive if he had created HIS OWN business. not biting off of someone else s pizza, pun intended.

  10. Was Herman Cain the only candidate that this reporter asked about Morgan Freeman? Did he ask Rick Pery,Bachman or Romney this question?

  11. I guess by now y’all heard Rush also weighing in on Herman vs Obama’ s blackness.

Rush Limbaugh: “Herman Cain could be our first authentically Black President.”

The only problem is that this may not be authentic, coming from Rush, since when it served him then, he referred numerous times to Obama’s blackness. But I guess the devil is in the details. Rush may say he wasn’t referring to Obama before as an “authentic” black man.
