
*In an interview that aired Wednesday night on “Tavis Smiley,” Kwame Kilpatrick shared that he is excited for his future and comes out of incarceration as a better, not bitter man.
The former Detroit mayor appeared on the nationally broadcast PBS program to discuss his new memoir, ” Surrendered: The Rise, Fall and Revelation of Kwame Kilpatrick.”
Kilpatrick revealed to Smiley that during his fast trek to political stardom, his immaturity and feelings of being overwhelmed got in his way.
