*The Kardashian family says they were completely blindsided when Michelle Obama revealed that her husband doesn’t like when their daughters watch their reality show, insisting he has the wrong idea about the program.
According to TMZ, the family read Michelle’s new interview with iVillage about television shows they allow daughters Sasha and Malia to watch. She said, “Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians — when they watch that stuff — he doesn’t like that as much.”
The Kardashians were reportedly “surprised” by the news because Obama personally told Khloe he thought “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” was a “great show” when they met last year at the White House.

In fact, the Kardashians believe Sasha, 10, and Malia, 13, could actually learn something from the show … because it features girls in real-life situations facing real-life problems – ranging from health to relationships.
Michelle, however, said she doesn’t mind her daughters watching the E! show as long as they are taking away something positive about it.
“I sort of feel like if we’re talking about it, I’m more concerned with how they take it. ‘What did you learn when you watched that?’” Michelle said. “And if they’re learning the right lessons, like, ‘That was crazy,’ then I’m like, ‘OK.’”

This is the problem with our kids, these celebrities try to justify mindless entertainment. What point does Keeping up with the Kartrashians really serve? @ ez3372 – Depending on how old you are, you may remember that long before the country ever heard of Kim, Khloe or the other one, their father, the late attorney Robert Kardashian was involved with the OJ Simpson trial. Remember??? I’m sure he’s rolling over in his grave over that reality tv mess!!!
I’m not that young, but when the OJ trial was going on I was in my early 20′s and didn’t know he had a lawyer named Robert Kardashian. All I remember is Johnny Cochran…lol. And Marsha Clark. I just read recently that he defended OJ and was a “friend” of his (because I also read that later he started to think OJ was guilty) cause I googled him. So actually…for me…I didn’t hear or remember the name Kardashian until the RayJ sex tape.
I frankly don’t know why Michelle Obama mentioned them. She didn’t have to single anyone out.
There are worst reality shows on the air than the Kardashians, such as Jersey Shore and Housewives of whatever. Michelle is not just some parent, she’s the first lady and for her to use her office to bash the Kardashians seems tacky and unnecessary. When I read her comments days ago, I was at a loss as to why she singled them out. And yes, i did think about Khloe’s visit to the White House. Tacky, tacky Michelle. And why bring Barack’s feelings up; let him make his own faux pas, like he did by bashing Kanye.
Now, Barack has had former drug dealers and criminals (Jay z) smoozing at the white house but Michelle wants to bash these mindless but harmless women. Kind of hypocritical. And you let your daughters shake their butts to beyonce’s single ladies? Again, hypocritical.

Yeah, it would be awkward trying to muzzle her now the way they did during the campaign. As FLOTUS, she is expected to speak on occasions. But I’m pretty sure it crossed the Obama handlers mind. This is campaign time again and they will be going over every detail. They may have convinced themselves that a possible backlash from the Kardashians followers could be significant.
The statement could have been about anyone and it still would have been unnecessary for her to single people out. This is just like Barack telling people not to go to Las Vegas.
The Obamas have to be careful running their mouths in their positions and singling out people whose transgressions are not worth attracting attention of the highest office in the land.
First Lady Michelle said Pres Obama did not like his daughters watching the Kardashioans!! he said it Big Deal!! They love it that their name and show is mentioned it continues to keep them in the spotlight which they crave. If Obama can single out Blacks for finger wagging as he’s done on multiple occasions…why not a few members of 1 family? So far one of the brothers doesn’t seem to have much of a problem with it. It’s all free publicity for them and I’m sure they recognize this.
