Look who’s going to kick off the 2011 Soul Train Awards in grand style. It’s non other than The Original 7ven, formerly known as The Time.

Yesss, that’s what time it tis.

BTW, the group’s debut live performance came last Wednesday night at Nokia Live in Downtown LA. This Thursday, Oct. 27, the band will hype their new hit single “#Trendin” on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Hosted by funnyman Cedric the Entertainer, this year’s show will also include performances from Jill Scott, Mindless Behavior, Keith Sweat, Robin Thicke, Melanie Fiona, Grammy-award winning artist Natalie Cole-and a slew of other acts soon to be confirmed. The show will tape in Atlanta on Nov. 17 and air on BET and sister network, Centric on Nov. 27.

The Original 7ven’s new album, “Condensate,” is available now online and in stores.
