*Unfortunately we have sad news to report about the “Velvet Teddy Bear,” Mr. Ruben Studdard.
He and his “Mrs. Teddy Bear” are no more. The two are going separate ways, according to TMZ.
The “American Idol” champ (who won Season 2 back in 2003) filed the papers in Alabama citing the usual … “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.
Studdard and Surata Zuri McCants tied the knot in 2008. They have no kids.
“Ruben and Zuri have gone their separate ways,” a rep for the now solo Teddy Bear says.
