*Did you know that some of Aretha Franklin’s belongings is being sold this weekend in the Detroit area? Yes, it’s true and Lady Soul herself is curious as to just what items of hers are on sale.

In a statement to The Detroit News Aretha is saying that she has no connection to Saturday’s planned sale, which is offering clothing, shoes and household items.

According to the AP, she said they’re “items that I didn’t want anymore and left in a storage locker … many years ago.” She also says she “wouldn’t mind seeing the items, just to see what they are.”

The owner of the items is Al Parham. He bought Ms. Franklin’s things after they were left for years with a storage business. The sale will be in Livonia, Michigan.
