*Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has certainly demonstrated the diversity in many areas of entertainment, not falling too short of great particularly in the movie industry.

When the rapper committed fully to play the role of a cancer stricken football player, many couldn’t believe the 80-pound transformation, let alone the sacrifice.

Finally his hard work is ready for the world to see. “Things Fall Apart” is set to premiere on BET this Saturday Dec. 3, before it hits theaters.

Mario Van Peebles, who directed and starred in the film, said in September, “He [50 Cent] really has a natural sense for acting.”

Fifty plays the role of Deon, a promising college star with hopes of going pro. But his dreams are put on hold when he’s diagnosed with cancer.

“Thing Fall Apart” also stars Lynn Whitfield and Ray Liotta. It airs on BET Saturday night, December 3, 2011 at 9:30pm (E&P) / 8:30pm (Central).
