SWV Launches Comeback With New Single ‘Co-Sign’

*This month, SWV is set to release their first new studio material in nearly 15 years.

Above is the cover art for their new single “Co-Sign,” which is their first release for Mass Appeal Entertainment and follows up their 1997 album “Release Some Tension.”

Recently, the 90s trio – Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Tamara “Taj” Johnson-George, and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons – appeared on the remix of Chris Brown’s “She Ain’t You” single.

The group also took the stage together in Toronto last weekend at the Amnesia Anniversary concert [watch clips below], and performed in Lagos, Nigeria last week.

A reality show surrounding the group’s comeback is reportedly in the works.

These chicks need to sit down somewhere. They’re no great singers, nowhere near it and will never be accused of it. They got lucky and they’ve been trying to ride on that luck ever since. I’m so tired of fools that liked that one particular song that they did going, “oh, I liked that song” because one accidental hit does not an artist make.

You’ve tried a few times as a group, you’ve tried as solo artists and you still haven’t gotten it. DISAPPEAR!!!

I’m so tired of these ’round the way chicks with their catterwallin’! And, I’m tired of the non-singing trailor park tramps too! If you can’t blow, you need to be gone. I’m tired of all of the mediocre and that’s all these chicks are. Mediocre don’t get my money!

  2. SWV had some major hits awhile back. I wish them well with the new one.

  3. I’ve always felt SWV was overated. They were o.k. and good luck to them.
