*The Las Vegas Strip popped on Saturday, December 31, 2011! Sin City was all ablaze with over 300,000 visitors to celebrate New Year’s Eve consisting of scores of parties and hundreds of thousands of revelers on the Las Vegas Strip. All over Las Vegas nightclubs, restaurants, roof tops, etc. were packed full with people and workers prepared to make their night special and memorable.
This was one of the most star-studded nights in Las Vegas which lived up to its world-class-celebration status. At midnight, fireworks shot from the rooftops of eight of the city’s most famous casinos; as well as downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street, home to some of the city’s older casinos.
Police shut down the Strip to vehicle traffic six hours before midnight, letting revelers wanting to bid adieu to 2011 in style party in the street along a roughly 4-mile stretch of road normally packed with cars at night. Partygoers attended celebrity-studded parties and were on hand to watch tons of red carpet arrivals brimming over with sexily clad club goers. The balmy weather brought more onlookers than ever to get an up close look at their favorite stars.

*Two of the biggest celebrations and hottest tickets in town were inside Tao at The Venetian where guests awaited the arrival of Kim Kardashian who hosted its New Year Eve celebration; and at Lavo inside The Palazzo where international DJ Samantha Ronson manned the DJ booth at.
At both hot spots guests savored passed hors d’oeuvres while enjoying great libations from open bars topped off with a Champagne toast at midnight. Also, after midnight guests were allowed access to both clubs.
Kim’s arrival could be compared to Cleopatra’s arrival in Rome to meet Caesar. And true to form, the Kardashian beauty channeled her Cleopatra look sporting a stunning sleek hairdo with bangs. She dazzled guests in a white Gucci long sleeve mini dress, Loren jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. Kim was accompanied by her mother Kris Jenner who looked resplendent in Dolce & Gabbana with a bowtie and a Judith Leiber penguin clutch and Kim’s “Dancing with the Stars” partner Mark Ballas.
“It’s a tradition to ring in the New Year here at Tao!” said Kim K before slipping into a private dining room at the trendy restaurant. After an intimate dinner, she made her way to the nightclub where she partied to her favorite jams before counting down 2012 with hundreds of club goers. “I am so excited and can’t wait for 2012 to come. Countdown with me,” she exclaimed!
When asked about resolutions she said, “I am ready to move forward and not look back. I learned a lot of about myself this past year and at the end of the day you always have to trust your gut,” Kim K explained about this past year. “You’ve got to believe in love. I still do.”

*Over at LAVO Ronson provided pulsating beats for the New Year. She was on the mic and hyped the crowd as the clock struck 12. With girlfriend Erin Foster close by, she led the crowd into 2012 with a high energy set and kept telling revelers to “Get your glow sticks in the air!”
*The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas rang in 2012 by hosting a fabulous New Year’s Eve bash headlined by legendary artist, songwriter, musician and producer Stevie Wonder. The evening began at 9:30 p.m. inside The Chelsea, the resorts indoor concert venue, with an electrifying performance by DJ Mia Moretti and violinist Caitlin Moe followed by a set from Mayer Hawthorne & The County. Wonder took to the main stage at 11 p.m. and rocked the crowd with hits such as “Master Blaster,” “Overjoyed,” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” for over two-and-a-half hours. Only the New Year brought to a temporary halt the master jammer’s show wherein he participated in a celebratory countdown as the clock struck midnight. As Wonder was ending his session, the crowd went ballistic when Tyrese Gibson joined Wonder on stage to sing along for several songs, including “Superstition.” Wonder’s explosive performance was broadcast live on the casino’s marquee to those partying on the Strip below.

*Blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson hosted an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration at Studio 54 inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. The famed Playboy Playmate showed up in a skin-tight head-turning nude dress paired with sky-high Christian Louboutins.

*Rob Kardashian sans his famous family turned it out at Tryst in the Wynn. After walking the red carpet, the nattily dressed Rob K took over the stage for the official countdown to midnight as DJ Dave Fogg manned the booth. As the minutes neared 2012’s arrival, he wished everyone a Happy New Year as confetti cannons exploded and fireworks exploded above Tryst’s waterfall. Rob was presented with a cake from Gimme Some Sugar that replicated the “Dancing with the Stars” trophy and naming him Tryst Champion of 2012.

*Hip-hop heartthrob Chris Brown took Sin City by storm as he rang in 2012 at Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace. The Grammy nominated artist arrived at the packed resort to a large crowd filled with screaming and cheering fans. Once the impressive display of fireworks were complete, he was escorted back inside the venue to his VIP table located in the club’s beautiful main room before taking to the mic to wish everyone inside the club a very Happy New Year followed by performing a number of his hit singles including “Beautiful People,” “Yeah 3X” and his latest release “Strip.” Following his performance, Brown rejoined his entourage and continued to party and dance his behind off until the wee hours of the morning.

*While over at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at the Paris, Kourtney Kardashian and boyfriend Scott Disick led the crowd in the countdown as other celebrity guests, including Joel Madden and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro from MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” counted along. Kardashian and Disick greeted the New Year with a series of loving kisses and a toast with sparkling apple cider. The hot couple embraced with the backdrop of the stunning Bellagio fountains and fireworks’ displays. Kourtney K looked breathtakingly beautiful wearing a full-length black sequined Diane Von Furstenburg gown with a plunging neckline and leg-baring slit and Christian Louboutin heels and holding a jeweled Judith Leiber handbag.

*LAX Nightclub welcomed 2012 with a bang as Grammy Award-winning hip-hop star B.o.B hosted an unforgettable New Year’s Eve bash. The singer-songwriter arrived just after 11 p.m. with his posse and was escorted to a special VIP table where he participated in the countdown. With his red guitar in tow he took to the main stage and gave his fans an inexorable performance. During this amazing mini-concert, he jumped onto the DJ booth singing his well-known hit “I Got The Magic In Me,” then hopped onto the railings and had a fellow friend take a photo of him with the energetic crowd. Then, after complimenting all the gorgeous girls, he transitioned into his chart-topper “Beautiful Girls.” Now, how cool was that! He also gave the packed club a sneak-peak of 2012 with his new single “Strange Clouds.” He then took partygoers to another level as he performed his hit single “Airplanes” and threw stacks of money into the air.
