*Rapper and Louisiana native Corey Miller, better known as C-Murder, attempted to wiggle his way out of a life sentence for a murder conviction, but the Louisiana appeals court upheld the decision.

He was convicted in the shooting death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas in 2002 during a confrontation outside of a nightclub.

The rapper’s attorneys filed an appeal with the 5th Circuit Court of Appeal, arguing that he didn’t get a fair trial.

Miller claims the judge who presided over the trial allowed jurors to hear prejudicial and unsubstantiated testimony the he threatened witnesses. He also accused prosecutors of systematically eliminating Black people from the jury.

But his arguments weren’t strong enough and now he’s going to jail.
