*Hmm, we’re guessing a new article in LA Weekly will turn more than a few heads. We’re talkin’ “The Exorcist” kind of head turning, here!

In an interview with odd future members Syd the Kyd and Matt Martians, Syd flat out accuses Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott of being in the closet:

In this week’s cover story, we kick it with Odd Future members Syd the Kyd and Matt Martians, and talk with them about their new duo The Internet, whose album Purple Naked Ladies was recently released digitally. Syd also opens up about her sexuality and what it’s like being in a group that uses “faggot” so much. (Tyler employs it over 200 times on Goblin.) Below are excerpts from our conversations that didn’t make the story.

On the lack of out-of-the-closet gay urban artists:
Syd: “There’s Alicia Keys, who’s married to Swizz Beatz – we know that sh*t ain’t real. You got Queen Latifah kissing Common in movies. Missy Elliott saying she don’t wanna hang with bitches. You know she loves her some bitches.”

On the word “lesbian”:
“I hate the word ‘lesbian.’ Or ‘p*ssy.’ Or even like, ‘thespian.’ They’re just awkward words! If you know me you might hear me say the word ‘gay,’ or something. I’d much rather say gay than lesbian. Not only that, but I don’t know if I’d kick it with a group of lesbians anyway.”

  1. Whether if they are gay or not, she has no right to try derail anybody to tell them to come out. That’s their choice if they choose to be in the closet. She need to go sit down somewhere and get a life. That’s not her business neither is it anybody else’s or mine. She just trying to make some noise for herself. Girl bye!

    • Not only should she/he get a life but a new hair do…OMG…Her shiat looks like brown sugar piled up like a pyramid…why does it matter whether or not they come out the closet? What does that have to do with your record career?

Sooooooooo, that’s a girl? wow This “Shim” needs to sit down, just ’cause your, well, whatever you do isn’t recognized, shouldn’t compel you to throw grease. Also, if all this jaw flappin’ means you are out the closet?, honey, you need to get back in that “time machine”, get over to Dress Barn/Annie
Sez, so you can update your publicity photo, and leave them old dykes alone.

  4. This Syd person needs to sit down somewhere and mind her business! First, I’m not interested in anyone else’s sexuality and second, who is she to be calling anybody out? Best be trying to work on that non-existent career!

  5. This thing is pushing for a beat down in a parking lot after dark.

  6. Uhmmm…. Wonder what’s GLAAD’s take on this type of behavior?

Is it OK as long as it’s one of their own doing the calling out?

I register an account to just to leave this comment, just because I’m so sick and tired of seeing the same erroneous charge levied against Tyler, the Creator in countless blogs and articles.

HE DID NOT USE THE WORD ‘FGGOT’ OVER 200 TIMES ON “GOBLIN”. That has been erroneously reported so many times it makes me angry. NME was the first to say it, confusing it with that OTHER f-word. Then GLAAD picked it up and basically spread it everywhere when it issued that press release condemning Tyler. GLAAD did eventually correct themselves and report the exact number of times he says ‘fggot’ is 10. But Jesus. It’s January. GLAAD corrected that story in August. C’mon.

    • “Then GLAAD picked it up and basically spread it everywhere when it issued that press release condemning Tyler. ”

That’s their MO, to use lies and misinformation to take out anyone who doesn’t support their life style.

Take Buju Banton. As a teenager, he wrote an anti-gay song in response to a young boy being raped by a pedophile. He eventually apologized and cease from using anti-gay lyrics. GLAAD pursued him relentlessly for the next 20 years with false accusations and targeting anyone who supports his music. Even twisting the words of his songs that had nothing to do with the gay lifestyle. They got away with it mainly because a lot of people didn’t understand the patois used in most of his songs.
They eventually got their allies in the Obama DOJ to frame him for drug dealing.

Once you get on GLAAD’s shit list, your life will be a living hell.
