*Filmmaker George Lucas was on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to talk about his new film “Red Tails.”
He discussed the struggles he had in getting the film made; it took him 23 years to get it to theaters. And of course he dealt with the 800 pound gorilla in the room: Hollywood’s on-going inability to deal with non-white productions.

More promotion using intertnet ads on black websites should be prevalent throughout social media. This is such a worthy story to be told. I will buy a ticket and watch in the theaters. Props to Lucas for speaking truth about hollywood racism. As a African American vet who knew WW2 war hero, it woukd be an honor to support this movie.. And if this movie isn’t supported by our community, then I truky blame the Black media’s poor marketing.
Thank you for your military service and voice to support Africa Americans whose lives have been many times overlooked.
Last night I had the opportunity to see the premiere of the movie “Red Tails” starring Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr. (due to be released January 20th 2012). The movie was fantastic. George Lucas did a great job retelling the story of the Tuskegee Airmen heroes during World War II. The movie was wonderful and it holds your interest from beginning to the end. The scenes were clear and you can understand what is being said throughout; both in English and in the German (in captions) language. The sound track was captivating. Thank you George Lucas; you did a wonderful job. As the author of “America Huh! I’m Going Home,” I only hope its movie will be just so.
