*The Little Miss African American Scholarship Pageant celebrates Black History Month 2012 with this year’s event slated for be held Sunday, February 12, 2012, 4:00 p.m. at the Wishire Ebell Theater,4401 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles.
The longest running pageant for little African American misses, the scholarship event has a history of dedication to continuing a legacy of nurturing young girls into proud and intelligent young women. The original creation of actress/ choreographer Lisa Ruffin,The Little Miss African American Scholarship pageant has consistently emphasized brains over beauty, positively impacting the lives of thousands of impressionable little women for 19 years now!
“Black History Month is a fantastic time to hold our pageant,” expresses Lisa Ruffin. “African American history is an extremely important part of American history and we are looking forward to instilling our young misses with an extra dose of pride!”
