*Rapper Cory Gunz has apologized to his fans for letting them down following his weekend arrest for gun possession.

The artist, real name Peter Pankey, Jr., was taken into custody in New York on Saturday after police allegedly found a loaded pistol in his backpack.

He was held overnight and jumped on Twitter upon his release on Sunday to express his regret at his behavior.

He tweeted, “I apologize to all of my Supporters, Friends and Family. Things Happen, No excuses. My only regret is letting ya’ll (sic) down… Peace”.

Gunz is facing up to three-and-a-half years behind bars if convicted for illegal possession of a loaded weapon.
