*NFL superstar Ray Lewis admits he fathered an 11-year-old boy in Florida and he has NO problem supporting the child EXCEPT he doesn’t want the mother to get her hands on the money. Hmm, What’s going on?
It seems Lewis is involved in an ongoing paternity case with a woman named Sharnika Kelly, reports TMZ. In court papers, Lewis acknowledges being the father, but the issue of support is slightly more contentious :
According to the docs, Lewis is hesitant to fork over money to Kelly because he says she has an outstanding judgment against her in a civil case … totaling over $1,000,000.
In the docs, Lewis says he has “grave concerns about the Mother’s character” and feels she’ll siphon off money meant for his son … either to pay off her debt or support her other child … not Ray’s.
Lewis is asking the court to establish a guardianship for his son to manage any support Lewis eventually pays.
The couple had a hearing scheduled for last month, but Lewis had to reschedule because he had a game in San Diego. The judge has yet to rule on his request.

It’s too bad he doesn’t want/seek custody of his son…that would make more sense than appointing a guardian IMO.

I don’t know all the details of Ray’s case but it is VERY difficult for a man to get custody from a woman. The courts are stacked heavily in favor of the woman.

If this woman is that shady seems like Ray would have a chance of gaining custody. I have a feeling he doesn’t want the kid period since he won’t even attempt any legal measures against the mother. If men like Damon Dash and others I’ve heard of who don’t deserve custody can gain it…I don’t see why Ray cannot. There was a case here where a married man was granted custody of twin girls he made outside his marriage. Since he and his wife already had grandchildren, they quickly grew tired of the twins and returned them to the mother they won custody over.

CORRECT. What’s the problem? Ray has NO PROBLEM SUPPORTING HIS KID. He just doesn’t want his money to touch that women. He wants it to go directly to that kid, which I agree with him. I wish all men in situations similar to this would think like Ray. More than likely he will have to fork the money over to woman so she can trick it off. Ray shouldn’t have nutted in her though. That’s his fault.
Athletes need to be careful about fucking these flips raw. Shit like this wouldn’t happen should Ray have been smarter. He’s a stand up guy, but this is just stupid.
