*It’s difficult to imagine one of the most popular power couples in the world has haters.
After Beyonce and Jay-Z announced the birth of their precious daughter Blue Ivy, the world stopped to praise the couple for starting a legacy. But not all were all smiles, particularly some very outspoken celebrities.
Someone who doesn’t hold back, actress and comedienne Roseanne Barr, unleashed her tongue toward the couple. She took to Twitter to slap the world back to earth and shared some of her very ‘loving’ thoughts about the new parents.
She went on a serious rant about Beyonce, even scolding the president for inviting the singer to perform legendary Etta James’ classic, “At Last.”
“I lost ALL respect for Obama when he dissed Etta James in favor of Beyonce,” she posted to her Twitter page. “I have not listened to anything Beyonce or Jay z has said or recorded since they did that to Etta. Their arrogance was disgusting,” she added.
But it didn’t stop there. Fans of the couple came to their defense, however, Ms. Barr wasn’t going down easy.
She lashed on the fans saying:
”Beyonce’s fans are really ignorant-she should not be proud of entertaining drooling mutants!” and “just finished telling all of beyonce’s cheesy stupid a– fans who slammed me to go and f— themselves! It was fun!
Later Roseanne retracted her statements about Beyonce being a worse singer than infamous ‘American Idol’ hopeful Sanjaya Malakar, but not about her and Jay-Z’s “disgusting arrogance.”:
“I sincerely want2 apologize 4 the rude comments I made2 twitters defending the fabulously talented Beyonce. I reverted 2 stand up slams,” she wrote.”
All we can say is huh?

And we care because????????????????? Who cares what she thinks her nasty comments won’t make or break what this couple have done. does Roseanne even have any money left after paying off ex husbands!!!!! is she still even relevant IMO she is NOT relevent to anything Nobody cares whar ahe thinks and I am so sure that the President is losing sleep becuase she lost respect for him really!!!

Didn’t Etta basically have the same assessment of Beyonce? So why is Roseanne hating for basically repeating the same thing?
“You guys know your president, right? You know the one with the big ears?” “Wait a minute, he ain’t my president. He might be yours; he ain’t my president. But I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song — she’s going to get her a– whipped.”
“The great Beyoncé,” James went on. “Like I said, she ain’t mine. … I can’t stand Beyoncé. She has no business up there, singing up there on a big ol’ president day, gonna be singing my song that I’ve been singing forever
Not everyone thinks Beyonce is all that.
Maybe EUR should get a clue.

And reds, I’m sure if you go back and look at the discussions, even people HERE were agreeing with Etta.
To be honest, Rosie sounds just as ignorant as Etta did when she said the same.

Well musbherbs andReds, at least Ms. Etta had an excuse, she was suffering from Dementia. What was Roseanne’s excuse. I liked her show when it was on and I even had an appreciation for her stand up, but when she keeps making outlandish comments, I take what she says with a grain of salt.

I don’t know if she had dementia in 2009 or not. that ain’t no excuse for the foolishness that came out of her mouth re: this.

Mus, I know you ‘stan’ for Beyonce but she is not the second coming of Christ. Ms. James could have said whatever she wanted. She paid her dues the hard way. It’s easy to attack what she said without taking into consideration her struggles. Whether she had dementia at the time of her comments, we don’t know but it is obvious that there was a level of frustration in the way she feels she was treated. Read Steven Ivory’s commentary about her. She was a pioneer of Rock and Roll and rarely got the acclaim that she deserved for being one of the few women to have hits during the 50s when it was a male dominated genre. If it wasn’t for her struggles, Beyonce wouldn’t have the kind of fame and money that she has. Besides, she wouldn’t have had a movie to play a role about Etta if it wasn’t for Ms. James.
It was Obama’s call but Beyonce could’ve been gracious enough to let Ms. James sing it. But that’s neither here nor there. You can disagree with Ms. James’ comments but to call them ‘foolish’ is not a fair call at all.

Beyonce might not be “all that,” and I am certainly NOT a fan of hers, BUT at THIS point in history, she is the ONLY African-American female with the ability to ENTERTAIN. She sings AND dances. Any other African-American female with even a modicum of talent would’ve swept Beyonce aside long ago, but there just isn’t anyone ELSE out there right now. Beyonce reigns supreme … FOR NOW.

Roseanne told the truth, Jay and Bey are extremely arrogant in thier actions, man they shut an entire hospital down just so she could “deliver” (rumors of a surrogate are looming still) I may be the only person here who does but I am standing by Roseanne on this one!

She sounds as bitter as she always has. I’m sure Bey and Jay aren’t losing any sleep over this cow. I too think the President should have had Etta James perform At Last HOWEVER that was his call, not Beyonce’s and she accepted as I would have. Roseanne is not a fan of hip hop as far as I can tell so no one is losing record sales over this.

Like the song says”…evrybody is a star..” But I say, some shine brighter. And it is super hard being a super star. I, too, wanted Etta James to have been chosen to sing her signature tune, “At Last.”
Knowing Obama, I am sure his decision was totally politically-based. But that’s okay. Our Etta James has found peace, at last.

Co-sign. You are right that odds are that decision to disrespect the person who made that song a classic, had everything to do with politics for this president. It is on par with virtually everything else he does.
Personally, I resent being force-fed someone. I heard someone say the other day and I concur that we were force-fed this Beyonce person. I will never forget that Oscar show in which she performed THREE TIMES (if not more). I didn’t get that then or now. I had never seen that before. I don’t need to see her on every commercial. Her dad found a way to overexpose her and I resent so many people for taking the bait. I like to be able to choose who and what comes into my space. If you have to work that hard to oversaturate yourself into everyone’s lives, something is wrong. Jmo Vent over.

This old hag hasn’t been relevant since the 90′s and to go to any forum to diss someone, especially with the birth of a child shows how truly desperate she’s become! She could stand to lose a few pounds and do something with that hair of hers instead of trying to clown someone! The public should be clowning her for the disrespectful version of the National Anthem she did a while back! No matter how much money she has – she is still trailer park material with the mentality as well!
Nasty a** stank bit*h!!!

Roseanne complained and indicated that she lost all respect for Obama when he dissed Etta James in favor of Beyonce. Then she turns right around and dissed Bey’s Fans by saying they are really ignorant etc. If the president elected to invite Bey, or any other singer to perform someone else’s classic song at the White House, that is nothing more than his business and right to do so. Especially when it’s no secret and not uncommon for these singers to perform remakes of other artist’s songs. Laugh online she made a statement about Bey being a worse singer than infamous American Idol Sanjaya Malakar. Unbelievable she would even have the audacity to go there on that issue, and complain or criticize someone else’s singing, after the extremely lousy, horrible job that she did on singing the national anthem years ago. Roseanne was a total disgrace, very embarrassing, and disrespecting. (She, Carl Lewis, and Steven Tyler should have never been invited to sing the national anthem in public or anywhere else.) Roseanne is a dirty tampon, and a washed up hateful hag. Trash to the 3rd power. Rude, less than a woman, very classless, always cussing and acts more like a man than a lady. No wonder this fat stinking ass tramp cannot keep a man, or a job in Hollywood. I’m not a Bey, or a Jay fan, but at least they have more in talent than Roseanne does. Moreover, this couple have a career, money and much more in life. It’s none of Roseanne or the public’s business on how Jay and Bey spent money pertaining to the birth of their child. No need for jealousy, attempting to call them arrogant etc., when wealthy people are known for spending money lavishly.

I don’t agree with a lot of what Roseanne said, but there is some truth to the matter. Beyonce is arrogant. And that arrogance isn’t rightfully earned, but by declaring her great, she is able to think it. She’s not. I do agree that we are force fed her because there isn’t another black female artist that is that much of an international success. Although, being that Rhianna is the first female artist to reach 2 billion views on Vevo, that’s changing. Bey needs competition. She doesn’t have any, hence the ego. I think Roseanne was in a lot of parts rude, but also truthful. Let’s be honest…her last cd sold..but was not great. It was slapped together quickly and it shows. I think she should humble herself and remember why she is even relevant to begin with. Also, Roseanne should not critique any form of singing.
