Bobby Brown Wants to Publish Tell-All Whitney Book?

bobby brown*Now that his ex-love is gone, some are speculating that Bobby Brown is attempting to get the once-talked-about book published.

The singer told the press in 2008 that he wrote a tell-all book about his life with Whitney Houston, but it didn’t get published because it wasn’t very good, said a major publisher in an interview with the Huffington Post.

“Whitney had fallen off the radar back then … but now, following her tragic death, the market has changed. Now is the time for a book that details an honest look into the life of Whitney.”

Besides, Bobby signed a confidentiality agreement when the divorce was finalized. The publisher also cautioned about the impact it would have on their daughter Bobbi Kristina.

“Bobby loves all his children,” his former attorney, Phaedra Parks shared days after Whitney died. “He would do anything to protect all his children.”

But friends of Whitney say they doubt it.

“This is a man who left his ex-wife’s funeral because he didn’t like his  seats and went to a paying gig that night,” said a friend of Whitney’s to HuffPost.

“He didn’t get on stage that night because he needed to sing his greatest hits or because Whitney would have wanted him to entertain his fans, he did it to get a paycheck — the same reason he now wants to write a tell-all book.”

  1. Bobby fans please explain this? Bobby never disappoints.

    • Explain what Gayle? This new “book” is still the subject of just speculation.

    • Yeah, it’s going to be interesting to hear what they are going to say.
But it will go som’n like this:
“Oh please, Bobby wrote that book long before Whitney died.”

But why did he have to write a tell all book in the first place. Wasn’t it to profit off his relations with Whitney? Even more despicable to publish it after she is dead and not able to defend herself against anything which she might have disagreed with.

      One more:
“Well, Bobby is not the first to write a tell all book.”

Two wrongs doesn’t make a right.

I can almost hear this one already:
      “It’s his prerogative.”

      :D

    • @Gayle “Now that his ex-love is gone, some are speculating that Bobby Brown is attempting to get the once-talked-about book published.”……who is “some are speculating?” I wonder were you this obsessed over Whitney when she was alive or just got this way like so many others after she died. I’ll bet money it was AFTER she died….people I tell ya! SMH!

    • Has anybody asked Bobby or spoke to him about this? Did he say he was going to do this? Looks like someone is trying to make up news.

  2. I’m convinced that Gayle K and Reds are the same person…..LOL!

  3. This is all hearsay. The media have twisted so much mess from the beginning of Whitney’s death. Bobby may have written something in the past but as of now, he never admitted to coming out with a book. People are expecting the worst out of him like he such a slime or something. I honestly don’t think he would considering the harm it would do to his children, not just BK because they loved Whitney and that he does have some respect for Whitney

    • Diva007 people are going to believe anything negative about bobby whether it’s fact or fiction. I’m not a fan of bobby’s but I am a fan of getting facts before you bash somebody.

    • Diva007 some folks are so blinded in their hate and judgment that it doesn’t matter what is reported is fact or fiction. All they need to see is the name ‘Bobby Brown’ & ‘Whitney Houston’ in the same sentence and they start having conniptions and talking in tongues. To hear them tell it, they have lived a sinless and perfect life and have the right to be somebody’s judge, jury and executioner!

  4. @ snicker. I was a Whitney fan when she alive and I was a Whitney fan when she was on drugs and I am a Whitney fan after her death. I never like Bobby and he’s proven all my reasons for not trusting him to be true.

  5. MelodyCool says:

I’m still searching for the interview Bobby and his mother gave where they hinted about spilling the beans on something negative about Whitney when they were on the outs over his financial woes. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least bit if he’s ready to dump on Whitney to make a quick buck. This article provides lots of insight into what was going on his life and how his mother felt about a number of things during that time.

    • This article was very interesting. It took me back to when they were both almost in obsecurity with the exception of his child support woes. And it was PRE Being Bobby Brown. They really had issues. But I still don’t think this is the time to shop a tell-all book. If that’s what he wants to do, he needs to wait because his daughter is still greiving and she’s gonna need all the help, love, and support she can get.

  6. musbdherbs says:

so let’s get the story right. “People” are speculating that Bobby is gonna write a book. And they base this idea solely on the fact that people (who clearly haven’t spoken w/Bobby nor anyone close to him for verification) are speculating?

Hey, Michelle Obama is about to right a tell-all book about [insert anybody]. How do we know? Because people (me) are speculating about it.

    • No, it’s not mere speculation if he’s gonna write a book. That’s already done. He just hasn’t found anyone desperate enough to publish it.

“The singer told the press in 2008 that he wrote a tell-all book about his life with Whitney Houston.”

      • musbdherbs says:

Oh ok, so what has convinced people that he’s going to move forward and attempt to get the book published?

        A conversation w/him?
        An interview he just gave?
A conversation w/someone close to him?

        No, to all three correct?

So if you don’t have any factual knowledge to back up the assertion that he’s looking to publish the book, what do you think most people w/even a 5th grade education would consider that?

        Speculation.

But go ahead, I sense your loins rising over yet another Bobby story. Carry on.

        • There is no need to make unfounded assumptions about my intentions.
I was merely pointing out the obvious error in your statement.

Not only has Bobby already written the book, but he has made unsuccessful attempts to publish it.
”it didn’t get published because it wasn’t very good, said a major publisher in an interview with the Huffington Post.”

No one knows if he is going to publish it or even if he can legally do so now that the divorce is finalized and there is confidentiality agreement.
This is just a topic for discussion as to what a man of Bobby’s character might do, if given the opportunity.

          • MelodyCool says:

Why on earth would anyone consider what Bobby’s about to do as that far fetched? I figured that’s what he would do at some point judging from that interview I saw him and mom doing. He’s playing his last trump card.

          • musbdherbs says:

Even more despicable to publish it after she is dead and not able to defend herself against anything which she might have disagreed with.

Uhm, that response had nothing to do w/whether Bobby would take the opportunity and publish the book. Instead, it was you talking about how bad it is for him to publish a book and she not able to defend herself. And again, there is no talk of him publishing a book so you talking about something that hasn’t been up for discussion is just plain silly. This is your MO and has been since news first broke of her death.

then you go on to talk about what “people” would say in defense of a book that nobody suggests is on its way to the publishing house.

Frankly, u r casting your usual aspersions against Bobby based on speculation…

          • Melody, you asked “Why on earth would anyone consider what Bobby’s about to do as that far fetched?”
Well, denial is not just a river in Africa.

We all know what Mr. Prerogative is capable of.
He don’t give a fu*ck what anyone thinks.
Why would he perform on the same night when his ex was buried?
            Is he that broke?
Well, I guess all the more reasons to publish the tell all.
Hopefully the confidentiality agreement won’t let him.

I wish we could see the contents of the tell all so that his defenders could see what they are defending.

        • “And again, there is no talk of him publishing a book so you talking about something that hasn’t been up for discussion is just plain silly.”

Bobby Brown Wants to Publish Tell-All Whitney Book?

          Huff Post:
Bobby Brown To Release Whitney Houston Tell-All Book?

That is exactly the topic of the discussion. We all are just giving our two cents on why that would be just up his ally.
Just like the Bravo reality show, which Whitney was initially against. The guy’s an exhibitionist. He would have no problem exhibiting his private affairs with Whitney to the rest of the world. Why else would he even think of writing a book like that in the first place?

          • musbdherbs says:

I see this has gone the way of your Obama and Gay’s attack where reason totally passes you by.

            Carry on angry, disgruntled man.

  7. Bobby entire family crazy. The sister stay on the phone with the National enquirer and the Mama is always texting the tabloids with gossip on Whitney for cash.

  8. Exactly Musb….

  9. Bobby Brown is doing nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston. First of all he knows that his daughter Bobbi Kristina was very close to her mom and loved her dearly. With that said, it should be in the best interest of his daughter to discontinue with the book. A lot of people around the world have admiration for Whitney. Regardless of her drug addiction and other issues etc. Moreover, if others were obsessed with her while she was living, and others became obsessed since her passing, that is their business and right to feel a certain way. So what? No big deal, since It does not matter or impact our life.

  10. DawnDuhDuh says:

Publishing a book on Whitney, especially if it’s a “tell-all” is not going to earn Bobby any brownie points or scrub his less than stellar image. IMO, he needs to cater/testify to her good character to win some points otherwise he is just writing a book for money. People are not going to like the fact he’s writing a book on her, but if he does it right, I believe he could help his public image and perhaps his relationship with his daughter.

  11. If this is true than Cissy has every right to treat Bobby with a long handed spoon. I almost forgot how arrogant Bobby was when he was in New Edition.

  12. Maybe a few of you are either in denial, or just not aware of the facts.

Fact: Bobby brown wrote a tell all book on his life with Whitney.

The topic over the past few days, and of this discussion, is whether he is going to publish it NOW. Not whether he would publish it at all. After all, why would someone write a book if they had no intention of publishing it?
He has even contacted publishers in past but was rebuffed for whatever reasons.
So the question we are now asking is whether he would have the decency to not publish it now, so soon after her passing, or not at all, since she is no longer here to respond to it.
And these are of course fair questions for a man of Bobby’s character. As friends of Whitney said:

“This is a man who left his ex-wife’s funeral because he didn’t like his seats and went to a paying gig that night,” said a friend of Whitney’s to HuffPost.”

  13. Really people if u dont think it is right. Let’ s see what should u do. Dont buy the book. Let Bobby make his money, he has to live. She was his ex-wife, he got over it, and got on with his life. I think he did.the right thing he should have had.enough seats for him and his kids. Period point blank..
