*Thursday at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood hills the world paused for a moment to remember Soul Train creator Don Cornelius. The Rev. Jesse Jackson spoke highly of the iconic trendsetter as did others.
The memorial service was attended by hundreds of celebrities, friends, family and former “Soul Train” dancers.
Other speakers included Smokey Robinson and Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who both promised to carry the torch Cornelius lit.
He was 75-years-old when he died on Feb. 1 in Los Angeles from a self-inflicted gunshot.
