*A close associate of deceased rapper Nate Dogg says the former singer’s close friends in the industry abandoned him when he needed the help the most.

TMZ is reporting that David Michery, who was named estate owner and is a record label owner, was put on the hook for the $300,000 in medical bills Nate Dogg left behind.

Michery claims that now he is forced to pay this when many of Nate’s former rapper friends pledged support, but haven’t contributed anything.

“I was the only person who would come forward because I didn’t want him to die. Me and Nate have 20 years history together and I did what everyone should have done and tried to save his life … not let him get kicked out in the streets and die.”

He said he does not regret taking on Nate’s financial bill. Warren G responded to the allegation saying he did all he could do for Nate, including helping him financially.
