   I’ve read that OWN isn’t catching on like it was projected…obviously it’s not when Oprah decides to act like she’s not doing what in fact she is doing. *smh* The tv is one of the trickiest of devices…it can easily trick you into thinking something isn’t when it is and is when it isn’t. It’s disappointing but I’m not surprised. Personally, none of it was funny. Stealing back a car? Ok…that reinforces a well-known stereotype. Having a new show together with a white/jewish man? That subliminally reinforces what is or should be already known: Jewish men control the entertainment industry…basically saying, “you don’t run this – we do”. In the bathtub, naked and being inviting with the same white/jewish man? She’s inviting at first, subliminally approving of the inter-racial relationships ‘the media’ is now pushing heavily into the minds of the masses via commercials-movies-sitcoms-print ads THEN she screams at his lewdness subliminally conjuring up the buried and repressed thoughts/experiences of rape by the white man during slavery and the jim crow era (it still happens but not as much). Finally, the book club is perversed into being a fight club? Yet another stereotype…all Black people are violent animals (monkeys) let them-tv-movies tell it.

   Oprah ought to be ashame of herself…seriously…because she knew what she was doing– selling out for some damn money and better ratings. It’s extremely rare when one becomes a millionaire, let alone a billionaire, in this system by being opposed to it. Common sense should help us realize that. But like I said before, tv is tricky.
