*The Daily Mail is reporting that Rihanna, Vivica A. Fox, Jordin Sparks and Willow Smith are among the female stars being considered to play the role of Whitney Houston in a biopic said to be helmed by her Arista Records mentor Clive Davis.
Rihanna has been marked as a leading contender to land the role for the film, which Davis apparently wants to get off the ground as soon as possible, so that filming can commence.
Oscar winner Hudson, who was chosen to perform a tribute to Whitney Houston at this year’s Grammy awards, is also being considered for the role, according to the tabloid.
Other potentials for the role include Vivica Fox, 22 year-old Jordin Sparks, who completed a remake of the 1970s film “Sparkle” with Houston, and Will Smith’s daughter Willow Smith, who may be selected to play a young Whitney in the film.
Meanwhile, actress Meagan Good confirmed to E! Online on Feb. 22 that she was the frontrunner to play Whitney Houston, and the two had briefly spoken about the role before Houston passed away.
“We were fairly in the beginning stages … We were supposed to meet today, actually,” Good said on Feb. 22.
