Tyra Banks Graduates from Harvard Business School

*Tyra Banks on Friday graduated from the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Us Weekly reports.

Banks, who dropped out of Loyola Marymount University to pursue modeling at age 17, enrolled in the program to better her brand.

“In order for my company to grow and be the best, and to reach these women, and to serve them, I needed the best,” the Bankable Productions CEO told CBS News last year. “So I went to the best.”

Prior to her Harvard education, Banks, 38, was lauded for being the first African American woman to appear on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The California native has appeared in a handful of films (Life-Size, Coyote Ugly) and hosted her own talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, which ran from 2005-2010.

Her CW series “America’s Next Top Model” was just renewed this week for its 19th cycle, dubbed “The College Edition.”

Casting directors are looking for females, ages 18 to 27, of diverse backgrounds, shapes, sizes and with a minimum height requirement of 5’7” tall. Click here for casting call dates and times.

  5. Good deal Tyra!!!

  6. I hate to be the stinker here butta……. She actually didn’t graduate from Harvard Business School. You have to finish college to qualify along with the GMAT, not to mention the rigorous application process. She instead attended An Executive program at the school that requires no application process besides listing your name, age, and address. You simply pay for the program.

In other words, everyone on this blog could go and graduate. You only need to pay tuition. Trust me I know, I get their invite packages in the mail all of the time.

  7. I’m still proud of her…being she’s from the L.A. (Inglewood) area, she is still highly successful and I’m proud of her accomplishments.
