*Diddy’s former bodyguard Gene Deal claims the hip-hop mogul wanted to fight Will Smith when the actor and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith tried to hook up with his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.
“We were at a birthday party that I think Matt Damon was giving for Ben Affleck. It was just a little gathering at the Four Seasons,” Deal recalled during his interview with “The Art of Dialogue,” Complex reports. “Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Puff, Will Smith, and Jada were sitting on [one] side of the room.”
He added, “[Puff] stood up. And when he stood up, he walked and did his arms a certain kind of way like [crossing them]. I go over towards him and he said to me, ‘Yo, I think Will and Jada are trying to scoop up Jennifer. I want you to stay close ’cause I’m a snuff him.'”

Due to their difference in size, Deal felt Smith would probably “beat the sh*t” out of Diddy.
“That sh*t was funny,” he added. “He thought that Jada and Will were coming on too strong to Jennifer, making advances.”
Deal’s comments come amid Pinkett Smith’s promotion of her new memoir, “Worthy.” Last week the actress revealed that she and Smith have been separated since 2016, but have no plans to divorce officially.
During a recent interview with People, Pinkett Smith claimed she is not in an open relationship with her husband.
“I think where that got confusing is that as time went on, there were different stages in my marriage where Will and I decided we were not together,” she said. “We didn’t tell the public, where I was actually thinking about divorcing, separating.”
She continued, “There’ve been several of those where we’ve gone and lived our separate lives. So I think within that is where people might’ve thought that, ‘Oh, they must be having an open relationship.'”
Meanwhile, we reported previously that Smith sent an email response to The New York Times, revealing that his wife’s memoir “kind of woke him up.”
He wrote, “When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”
Smith also trolled fans on Tuesday when he took to his Instagram with a video response to Jada’s bombshell memoir. In the video captioned “OFFICIAL STATEMENT,” the Oscar-winning actor is seen sitting in a chair and as he begins to talk, he fakes a sneeze that blasts the camera into outer space.
As Complex reports, fans believe he was channeling a scene from the 2004 film “I, Robot” where Smith said he’s “allergic to bullshit” after faking a sneeze.
