Antoine Walker Forced to Sell NBA Championship Ring

*Antoine Walker had to sell his NBA Championship ring as part of his bankruptcy case, reports TMZ.

The bling, won by Walker as a member of the 2006 Miami Heat, sold for $21,500, according to the website.

Walker filed for bankruptcy in 2010, claiming he racked up more than $12.7 million in debts, but had only $4 million in assets.

According to court documents, Walker had to liquidate his property, including his ring, to pay back his creditors. Now TMZ has learned the ring has been tentatively sold to a man named Andres Garcia for a $21,500.

A judge needs to sign off on the deal before any money is exchanged.

  1. Boys and girls, when you do dumb shit, this is what happens. I don’t feel sympathetic for Antoine, or anyone who blew money like he did. I hope you had fun Antoine.

Don’t be so hard on the brother. He didn’t just “blow” his money. He helped a lot of so-called friends and family along the way. He fell victim to some business deals that went bust with the rest of the world economy. He isn’t the only person to be in this condition. He was generous to his mother and helped a lot of his family and friends. Even Donald Tramp has filed bankruptcy several times during these hard times. He calls it a “reorganization”. Something like this ring should be off limits to the courts. It has no meaning nor value to someone who didn’t actually earn the right to wear it. It should have been put in receivership and given to his children when they reach the age of 21.
