*African American women have contributed so much to this country and the world as a whole, that we sometimes forget how much our sistas’ have done. What’s even worse is that a lot of us don’t know the many accomplishments of our Black sistas.

1) After Josephine Baker, an African-American dance and singing icon, moved to France for opportunities unavailable to her in her home country, she smuggled intelligence to French allies during World War II.  Source [Biography]
