Regina King, star voice for the adult animation series, said in a recent interview that the series is on its way back for season 4.
Her report, however, is in direct opposition to Cartoon Network and Adult Swim’s announcement that season 3 was it.
“I talked to Aaron [McGruder, the series creator] and it looks like they’re working things out. I’m trying to be positive,” Regina told Sway on Shade 45. “Because you know you say one thing, and the next thing you know it just all fell apart.”
Overall, she’s pretty confident the show is making a come back.
She also revealed there are plans to bring the cartoon to a full-length film series.
“Aaron is thinking about a movie. I’m pretty sure he’s done a rough draft of where you would want the movie to go,” Regina revealed in an interview with Shade 45. “And I think he’s been talking to some financiers and you just might see that.”
Actually, according to http://adultswimcentral.com/animated-comedy/ the following shows are “renewed” so looks like as of now they are planning on airing episodes this year…I found out for sure that Metalocalypse is coming back April 29……
