Cheryl Lynn Reacts to Her 80’s Hit Song ‘Encore’ Surging on Spotify – Thanks to Baltimore Ravens Fans | WATCH

*The Baltimore Ravens’ winning streak has significantly influenced renewed interest in Cheryl Lynn’s 1983 single “Encore” since November.

On Nov. 7, Spotify streams of the song spiked to 30,000 in 24 hours, Afrotech reports.

In TikTok videos, Ravens fans use Lynn’s “Encore” to show off their victory dances. The song is the unofficial soundtrack for the team’s success during the NFL playoffs.

When Lynn caught wind of the trend, she noted on social media that for the past 35 years, she has owned the masters of her music.

“Brings me joy. 50 years of musical service I’ve given, and to see it pour out into people that genuinely enjoy it, there’s no better feeling. Thank you 41 years later, y’all still killing it to this jam. XOXO,” Cheryl Lynn wrote on X/Twitter about the TikTok clips featuring “Encore.”

In the comments, one fan wrote, “You are a Legend. Your artistry and heavenly voice have blessed us in songs from your duet with Luther to Encore, to Got to be Real. I just wanted to send you your flowers and thank you for sharing your talent and excellence with the world!”

Another X/Twitter user added, “It’s funny how many memories are tied to music. Listening to your song instantly transported me to my childhood and brought joy to my day.”

A third Cheryl Lynn fan noted, “Good music stands the test of time! Thank you for that, Cheryl.”

In a separate post, the music pioneer said she was “rooting for the Ravens,” along with the hashtag #RavensFlock.

“Let the Encore continue,” Lynn added.
