*A Houston 911 operator accused of hanging up on thousands of people was sentenced to 10 days in jail and 18 months on probation after she was convicted of interfering with emergency calls during the 18 months that she worked as a dispatcher for the city.

According to the NYDN, 44-year-old Crenshanda Williams spent a year and a half ignoring numerous 911 calls at the Houston Emergency Center. She was caught in 2016 after a supervisor noticed a surprising amount of quick calls on her line.

When investigators asked why she had hung up on so many people, Williams told officers “that she often hangs up on calls that have not been connected because she did not want to talk to them at that time.”

Prosecutors said the calls Williams received ranged from reports of an unconscious woman, a robbery in progress and cars racing on the interstate.

In one March 2016 recording, she can be heard hanging up on Hau Li, who phoned in after hearing shots fired at a convenience store. Li attempted to call back, but the store manager was killed before authorities arrived on the scene.

In another incident, when a security guard phoned in to report a pair of reckless drivers, Williams hung up before the guard could give his name, according to Click2Houston.

“Ain’t nobody got time for this,” she can be heard saying in the recording of the call. “For real.”

Williams’ defense attorney, Franklin Bynum, says they plan to appeal.
