*In an unlikely radio show, television Judge (“America’s Court with Judge Ross”) Kevin Ross, Attorney Gloria Allred and comedian D.L. Hughley are getting political and talking about Rush Limbaugh’s controversial campaigning.
Set to air on Blogtalkradio tonight, March 19 at 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern, the two-hour program will be something worth listening to.
The show will hone in on Limbaugh’s hateful speech radio show and the way mainstream media views his perspective on women.
As a result of his loose lips, Limbaugh’s radio show has suffered greatly with nearly 150 sponsors withdrawing their ads after he called Sandra Fluke a “slut” and “prostitute.”
In writing a letter directly addressed to Clear Channel host Rush Limbaugh, attorney Allred (of the nationally syndicated television show “We The People”) had this to say:
“You may think that all of your misconduct disappears because you label yourself an entertainer. Well, we are not entertained – we are disgusted … Your words, your low blows, your lack of boundaries and judgment will not go away that easily.”
Meanwhile, after almost a three-year absence, The Kevin Ross Show is back with a gavel bang, this time taking on the misogynistic and racist hate speech permeating talk radio and the nation’s public airwaves.
“In 2009, I wrote an article about where I saw the radio industry going,” says the former Los Angeles Superior Court judge. “I feel an obligation to bring these issues to light in an attempt to find solutions to what is currently a very caustic situation.” Ross, who worked as a radio talk show host on stations including Los Angeles’ KABC AM 790 and KFI AM 640, adds, “People want their say but don’t always have the opportunity to convey their perspective. I’m excited that Blogtalkradio’s platform allows those who are interested to be a part of this important conversation.”
During the special 2-hour program, Ross will also have members of the Black Media Alliance (BMA), who have called national attention to the lack of diversity at Clear Channel’s flagship Los Angeles station KFI 640 AM, the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC), and various movers, shakers and public opinion makers. The call in number is 347-945-5939.
