Halle Berry’s ‘Dark Tide’ to Hit VOD Before Theaters

*The suspense thriller ”Dark Tide,” starring Halle Berry and her boyfriend Olivier Martinez, will premiere on Video On Demand March 8 and run for three weeks leading up to its March 30 arrival in theaters.

Oscar winner Berry stars as Kate, a shark expert whose business has fallen off since a shark attack killed a fellow diver under her command. Once dubbed “the shark whisperer,” Kate is haunted by the memory of the attack and unable to get back into the water.

With bills mounting and the bank about to foreclose on her boat, Kate’s ex-boyfriend Jeff (Martinez) presents her with a lucrative opportunity: lead a thrill-seeking millionaire businessman on a dangerous shark dive…outside the cage. Battling her self-doubts and fear, Kate accepts the proposal — and sets a course for the world’s deadliest feeding ground: Shark Alley.

“Dark Tide,” directed by John Stockwell, (“Into the Blue,” “Blue Crush”) will be available on Blu-Ray disc and DVD on April 24.
