*She may be best known as Jeff Lewis’ long-suffering assistant on the Bravo reality series “Flipping Out,” but to viewers of the network’s talk show “Watch What Happens Live,” Jenny Pulos is the woman who raps the theme song, which in its extended form contains commercial bumpers that are tailor made for the Bravo-lebrities who visit the show.
But during broadcasts featuring stars from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” there’s one line she raps regarding star Sheree Whitfield that has some viewers of the show confused.
Pulos’ “Atlanta” bumpers include the gems “Be-weave it or not,” “Don’t be tardy for the party” and Sheree’s infamous Season 2 quote, “Who gon’ check me, boo?” But what in the world is Jenni saying in the line that ends with the name of Sheree’s clothing line, “She by Sheree?”
“Oh, I’m saying, “No this schmatta ain’t She by Sheree,” Jenni told us at a recent NBC Universal party in Los Angeles.
Asked what schmatta means, she said it’s a Yiddish word for dress. But then a Jewish party goer who was ear hustling nearby informed her that schmatta actually means a tattered dress — or rags.
She apologizes to Sheree below, then took it upon herself to give the EUR a special rap promoting Wednesday’s 9 p.m. premiere of her new show, “Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis.”
Below, Jenni auditions her “Watch What Happens” theme song for host Andy Cohen.
