*Pleasure P, Grammy-nominated former frontman with the popular R&B group Pretty Ricky, is on tour with Ne-Yo and rockin’ some new music under his born name Marcus Ramon.
A sexy video and recent posts on his and former RHOA’s Falynn Pina’s gram recently sparked an internet frenzy with folks speculating that he and the former Mrs. Simon Guobadia are an item (wealthy businessman Guobadia is now married to former RHOA’s Porsha Williams).
His tour partner Ne-Yo also got caught in some drama when former girlfriend Monyetta Shaw told fans they broke up because he wanted threesomes all the time.
On-air personality and EURweb Spotlight host Jazmyn ‘Jaz’ Summers sat down with Marcus to get the tea.
IT’S A ROMANTIC DATE NIGHT, RIGHT?
I’m on the Champagne and Roses tour with Ne-Yo and Mario. I’m in my dressing room as we can see. Just getting ready for tonight. Getting ready to give these people the time of their life. We set the romantic tone so that when you go home, everything that needs to be said is said through the music and it’s a perfect thing. Bruthas, we do the work for you and it’s done.
It’s just something sexy, something where you can put on your fresh cologne and you can dress up nice. Or even if it’s like a kickback, and you just want to smoke one with her or whatever the case may be. It just creates that ambiance of connection and love. I think that’s very important in music because there’s so much hard music today.

Yeah. I think it’s crazy. A lot of people don’t know what romance is these days. Women, even women, don’t know anything about women putting on sexy lingerie. We have to bring it back to that. The room is lit with candles and just showing somebody they’re special, someone to go the extra mile for. We need that again.
LEGENDARY ARTIST KEITH SWEAT PRODUCED THE SINGLE. WHAT WAS IT LIKE WORKING WITH HIM?
He’s like a father figure slash mentor to me. So we’ve been working together for quite some time. I’ve been listening to him since middle school. He’s one of my favorite singers. He gives you feeling. One of my birthdays, my ex-manager, Rex and Brian McKinney, they put it together and they brought him out for one of my birthdays, man. And that was one of the best birthdays ever. From then on we connected and just years and years of friendship and he been teaching me the game, teaching me how to be a headliner, and teaching me what’s important. He always tells me, you ain’t got to get ready if you stay ready. So for me, working on the music with him has been nothing but an honor and respect and I’m just happy to be able to call him my mentor fah reals.

I posted one picture with just a teaser of the video to let people know that it was coming and they just started bashing Falynn. She’s a great person and she’s just figuring out her life like anybody else. She’s a mother. And I watched them bash her over being in the music video with me and they thought we were in a relationship. And it’s like even if we were in a relationship, let people be happy. It’s not up to you to dictate who gets with who and who does what. But that’s neither here nor there. It was a music video.

ARE YOU SINGLE? WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Absolutely, I’m single. I’m single and focused. But you got to be the right match. You can’t come to the table with a bunch of distractions. You got to come to the table and support what’s going on and be supportive. You got to be my peace. You can’t be a headache. Just have your sh*t together. No drama.

Whatever his sexual life is that’s between him and his women. He’s my brother. I think it’s different strokes for different folks. And if you like threesomes, then do it. Personally, I don’t think you should do them all the time if you are into one person and it’s just a little treat every now and then, yeah, that may be cool. But all the time it’s like your man or girl will get jealous because my personal experience on having threesomes is that you’re going to like one more than the other. So it’s like what’s the point?

Well, when I dated Bria Murphy, she wasn’t a public figure. She became a public figure when we got together. That was the worst breakup I ever went through at the time, but you learn from it and keep going. We’re cool, she’s a good girl, she’s doing her thing, I’m doing my thing. Who knows what the future may hold? I was heartbroken and of course I cried! I’m not gonna play like…you know a lot of guys so swagged out they scared to say they sorry, I ain’t got nothing to hide. It hurt me.
With Shay that was her thing for TV. So it wasn’t really a thing like that for real.
IS IT TRUE THAT THERE’S A LOT IN REALITY SHOWS THAT AREN’T REAL?
I kind of treated it like a sitcom, you know what I mean? I was like, okay, this is my first time doing it. And they were like, you got to have love to be on the show. So I was like, well who can I get that I know. So I knew Shay for years and we’d been friends for years and I was like, you know what, yo, you want to get this bag? And she was like, well, let’s burn it up.And it was cool. But then the only thing I kind of didn’t like was even though it’s not real to me, they portray Black men to be cheaters and sh*t like that. And it’s like one day they’ll have you shoot this scene and say you do this. And then when you see it on the tv, it looks like, oh damn, she cooked the dinner for me and I didn’t show up because I was on a date with another woman. It made me look crazy. So that’s why I quit the show.I’m grateful and thankful for the opportunity, though. I love Mona Scott, but she wasn’t even hands-on with it when we were involved.

I’ve been rebellious my whole life when it come to things that ain’t right. My mama would try to make me go to the Kingdom Hall. I didn’t go. I ran away from home. I’d rather live in the streets. But I’m thankful for Blue because if it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t be here. A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO YOU HAD A SCARY SITUATION WITH YOUR SON WHEN THE POLICE PUT OUT A WARNING SAYING HE WAS WANTED FOR SUSPECTED MURDER AND WAS ARMED AND DANGEROUS, THAT’S ALMOST A LICENSE FOR POLICE TO KILL HIM. YOU STOOD BY HIM. HOW IS YOUR SON DOING?
We still going through another part of it right now, which is why I don’t really speak on it too tough. But I do think it’s unfair that they’re allowed to paint your kids any kind of way and they just think that a Black father don’t care or something. But I got a platform too, just as big as their platform. So I started talking up for him and stating facts. But it was definitely a scary situation. It’s still a scary situation for any other Black young man that may have to go through the things that my son is going through. I can’t really speak on it because like I said, we’re still going through a part of it, but just know he’s in good spirits and he’s well taken care of. I’m a grandfather at the same time and my grandson is doing well. He is getting big and I’m enjoying that part of life too.
WHATS POPPIN WITH THE GROUP YOU FORMED WITH R & B STARS 112?
It’s called R S V P. It’s Ray J, Sammie, Bobby Valentino, and myself. We’ve been kind of teasing fans with new music and stuff like that. We’ve been headlining shows and just getting everybody ready for the album. The album is actually complete. We’re going to drop it at the top of the year. We’re having fun. We’re like the new Rat Pack in a sense. We get together, all the ladies come and it’s just a great time. I love it.
