*Director Spike Lee is urged fans of his incarcerated friend Wesley Snipes to send letters of encouragement to the actor to keep his spirits up during his stint for tax evasion.
The filmmaker, who directed Snipes in “Jungle Fever,” visited the actor on Monday at the Pennsylvania prison where he is currently serving a three-year sentence, and revealed that Snipes is “in great shape mentally, physically and spiritually.”
However, Lee is still encouraging the actor’s fans to keep him entertained.
“Send Your Prayers And Blessings To Our Brother Mr.Wesley Snipes.Your Letters Will Mean The World To Him,” Lee tweeted today.
Snipes has always maintained his innocence and insists he was duped by tax advisors.
Dupe huh? like he’s trying to dupe us into thinking he’s innocent, spike please, you must have fallen outta your high chair. If he’s your friend, encourage him to get some help in learning how to accept that HE is ULTIMATELY responsible for his tax troubles. . . . .
Spike should direct his request to Black men and all non-Black women and leave it at that.

Hopefully Wesley doesn’t become a repeat offender.
While I don’t wish Mr. Snipes any bad luck, he lost my vote a long time ago with the negative shots he took at black women in EBONY magazine — the very women who put his ass on the map!
What did he say about us?
Wasn’t his very first wife a Black woman? Wasn’t his mother?
What’s his problem with us?
Let me know so, I’ll be able to better formulate just what I want to write to his ass!
His first wife was black and he has certainly dated black actresses (i.e. Halle Berry and Cinda Williams, the actress he banged on the porch in Mo Better Blues. But in a 1997 article in EBONY, he acknowledged that he was indeed dating the asian woman and had a few choice observations about black women. Following are his quotes that I Googled from that article:
“In any relationship you have to compromise. There’s no way around it. And I say to Black women also, Brothers who are very, very successful, or who have become somewhat successful, usually it’s been at a great expense, unseen by the camera’s eye….
“He doesn’t want to come home to someone who’s going to be mean and aggravating and unkind and who is going to be `please me, please me.’ He doesn’t want to come home to that. He doesn’t want to come home to have a fight with someone who is supposed to be his helpmate. So it’s very natural that he’s going to turn to some place that’s more compassionate…. You’ve worked hard and you deserve to come home to comforting. And usually a man who has that will appreciate it. Because I’ve never known one cat, all those cats I’ve hung out with and still hang out with, who found something that they really, really like and didn’t go back to it. They all go back. It’s very simple.”
When asked for clarification, Snipes emphasizes that he is not saying that a Black woman can not be that type of woman a man wants to come home to. “Not at all,” he declares. “Absolutely not. That’s the point. I want to come home and I don’t want to argue. I want to be pleasing, but if I ask you to get me a glass of water, you’re going to say, `Them days is over.’ Please. Come on,” Wesley says.

We are supposed to “encourage” him while he is incarcerated when he wouldn’t piss on us if we were on fire??? Um … I think not.
As far as I am concerned he made a mistakeby not checking his tax advisors credentials and is now paying for it. Don’t hate on someone you’ll never meet, Hang in there Wesley, looking forward to you getting out and making movie magic again. LOL—Lots of Love.
