Trayvan Martin, 17, killed by neighborhood night watch captain, George Zimmerman, 28, has yet to have his murder brought to justice.
*Having security for the neighborhood is high up on the priority list for community associations.
But, until now, we hadn’t heard of any block captains or night watch captains toting more than a flashlight to carry out their duties.
The latest tragedy occurred because the night watch captain brought a 9MM to a fist fight. (more…)

I heard about this story it was reported that Trayvan had a bag of skittles and a can of Arizona tea in his pocket no weapons were found on him, authorities need to get on it! I’m puzzled too, why wasn’t the watch captian George Zimmerman not arrested at the time of the shooting? Other reports says he in hiding, my condolences to this young man parents, I hope justice prevails.

There you go again EUR, making all the wrong analogies. It’s almost as if you trying to make an excuse for this murderer’s behavior.
It’s called “neighborhood watch” for a reason. You watch and call the police. You are not even supposed to let the “suspicious” person know of your presence. He had no reason approaching the young man. I heard that he was driving and got out of his car to confront the young man. I’m pretty sure the kid had no idea what was going on and fearing physical harm tried to evade him.
I actually had a similar experience when I was young. I was visiting my sister’s neighborhood, and some men accosted me. My instinct was to run, but luckily one of them guessed who I was and asked if I was not her brother, then they advised me that I shouldn’t run because that would make me seem more suspicious. But having been jacked before, at that time, my fight or flight instinct was all that kicked in.
