*USA Network has announced it will premiere Michael Ealy’s new series “Common Law” in the summer, a network source confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.
The CBS Television Studios/Junction Entertainment drama will launch its 12-episode season on Friday, May 11 at 10 p.m. following the Sarah Shahi-led mediator series “Fairly Legal.”
Ealy and Warren Kole star as a pair of dysfunctional Los Angeles police detectives put into couples therapy.
USA had originally slotted it to premiere Thursday, Jan. 26 but in December, opted to move the hourlong back for a summer debut in an effort to give it its biggest possible launching pad during the year. The summer window is when USA’s new shows have proven to be beneficial.
