*As nationwide outrage continues to build over the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, his parents spent much of the Wednesday at NBC’s 30 Rockerfeller Center calling for the arrest of Trayvon’s shooter, George Zimmerman.
The self-appointed neighborhood watch captain in Sanford, Florida shot the unarmed teenager dead after calling police to report on “someone suspicious” in their gated community. Zimmerman has not been arrested for the shooting. Police claim evidence at the scene supports Zimmerman’s claim of self defense under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law.
Before appearing at a rally in New York calling for the arrest of Zimmerman, Trayvon’s parents Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton visited both “Today” and MSNBC’s “Politics Nation with Al Sharpton” to demand justice for their son.

Not looking good for that Stand Your Ground defense.
Two lawmakers who crafted the Stand Your Ground Law say the measure doesn’t apply to the shooter of Trayvon Martin, a Miami teen shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer, and he should face charges.
“He has no protection under my law,” said Former Sen. Durell Peaden, one of the law’s authors, The Miami Herald reported. “They got the goods on him. They need to prosecute whoever shot the kid.”
Peaden said that when George Zimmerman told dispatch that he was following Martin he lost his defense under the law.
The co-author of Florida’s “Stand your ground” law says the law was never intended to protect the aggressors in confrontations. State Rep. Dennis Baxley, (R) Ocala, says the law is on the books to allow citizens to protect themselves front attackers.
Everytime I see this family on television, I just tear up…especially the Mom…you can just see the complete devastation on her face…NO family should have to go through such extreme measure to get justice…racism in this country has not changed one bit, it simply modernizes with time and having a black president makes the country’s fears even worse…REDS, I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT!!! NOT TODAY!
