*Just after celebrating her 70th birthday over the weekend, fans of Aretha Franklin got the sad new that her upcoming biopic has been put on hold.
The Queen of Soul told the press that some things are “going on” and the movie is “in a limbo position.”

Franklin’s grandson is actually in the middle of negotiating a recording contract right now and she’s working on releasing her music with Clive Davis.
Even though it’s on hold, the diva is still looking forward to the day.
When the idea first surfaced, she was heavily involved in the potential casting, telling the producers whom she wants and doesn’t want to play her part.
But in the meantime, we will wait, hoping for a release date soon.
Hopefully she can get Monique to play her.

LOL …, but you’re right. WHERE did she get this “fine” thing from? In getting someone to play her, they need to concentrate on SINGING TALENT, NOT LOOKS!!!
Re Re is known to be a drama queen and a true diva. She is very difficult and I’m not surprised the project is on halt. It probably won’t go into production. Anyhows, the real deal about Aretha won’t even be exposed on film. Ask some Detroiters and they could tell u some things about her

The comment about her arms had me laughing my azz off. Re-re can sing though, can’t take that away from her! The last album of hers was pretty good… the song “this you should know” was really good! I still say, give her the right songs and sista gurl will knock it in the park! See reminds me of my Aunt is Los Angeles – can throw down in the kitchen and will curse your azz out in a heartbeat! Auntie don’t take no mess!!!
